There are many customizations you can make in the new Here Comes the Bus (HCTB) app. However, some changes cannot be performed in the app and must be made by contacting your student's school, including the following:

  • Your student's home address

  • The location of your student's bus stop

  • Your student's bus route/number

If you would like to change any of these, as the parent or guardian of your student, you must make the correction or request through your school district. Contact your student's school and follow their protocol for address, bus stop, and/or bus route adjustments. A good place to begin is on your district's website.

If the school decides to grant your request, they will then modify your student's profile in their database.

Note: Be aware, however, that your school may reserve the right to make or refuse changes as they see fit.

Generally, the day after the school makes the modification (after their student data is reimported into the HCTB database), the Here Comes the Bus app will reflect the new information.

Note: Again, you cannot make changes to your student's address, bus stop, or bus route within the Here Comes the Bus app.

If the HCTB app doesn't display the new data within 24 hours of the school's update, follow the instructions at Contact Support.

Make sure that the school got back with you first to verify that they agreed to the change and made the database correction.
